Risnawati Albanjar, 2019. Structural Analysis In the novel Eat Pray Love By Elizabeth Gilbert (Supervised By Farida Maricar and Halida Nuriah).

This research aims toinvestigate Structural Anlysis in the novel Eat Pray Love by Elizabeth Gilbert, this novel was published in 2006. In this research, the researcher aims to describe the intrinsic elements and therelationship between elements in the novel.
The method is used in this research is descriptive. The researcher used the Structural Analysis,to analyze howthe intrinsicelements that builds in the novel andto know the relation between the element of characterization, theme, plot, setting in the novel represented by Elizabeth Gilbert. To complement the data research, the reseacher use liberary reseach, reading comprehension and internet search.
the result of the research shows that the intrinsic element that builds in the novel are plot,caracter,theme and setting. The results of the study show that the plot form contained in this novel is a mixed plot. This is supported by events that are displayed chronologically but there are also flashbacks that explain the past stories.The character in this novel the consisted of the main character, namely Liz, who acts as the focus in the story whose life and journey are the core issues in the story. Besides there are supporting characters like David, KetutLiyer, Felipe, and WayanNurayasih, Luca Spaghettywas his best friend in Italy and Richard was a man from Texas he met in India. The main themes contained in this novel are healing and spritual. The places visited by Liz become settings in the novel so the settings contained in the novel are settings place such as the City of New York, Italy, India and Bali.The relation between the elements are theme and plot,theme and character, theme and setting,plot and character in the novel Eat Pray Love By Elizabeth Gilbert
